Join Middlesbrough Town Hall Community Choir and North East Opera for a joyous spring evening of fun and vibrant music
Led by local professional opera singers Emily Smith and David Pisaro, the concert will feature a wide range of repertoire including pop, rock, classical, folk, gospel and traditional.
Middlesbrough Town Hall (MTH) Community Choir is a fun and inclusive choir for adults of all ages. Participants don’t need to be able to read music or have any previous experience of singing.
If you’ve always wanted to sing in a choir, give it a try and you are guaranteed to leave feeling uplifted!
North East Opera, formerly Streetwise Opera, is a group for adults who identify as facing social isolation, including people who are or have been homeless. Using opera as a point of focus, with participants having the chance to direct, choreograph and suggest material.
Access information
Toilets and facilities
You can find more details about our facilities and accessing the different spaces on the Middlesbrough Town Hall website.
Pushchair policy
Due to Middlesbrough Town Hall’s fire regulation policies pushchairs, prams and car seats must be left in our dedicated ‘buggy parking’ zone on the carriageway and can’t be taken into any of the event spaces.
Unfortunately we can’t take responsibility for items left there, but we do our best to keep an eye on them.
Relaxed setting
All our family events take place in a relaxed environment, and have the following features:
- lower volume levels throughout the event
- consistent lighting, with low level auditorium lights on throughout
- our musicians and facilitators have relaxed attitude to noise and moving around the space
- a quiet, chill out space will be available should you need a break
Ear defenders
Our younger visitors can find a busy venue and loud musical activities quite overwhelming. A limited number of ear defenders are available from the Box Office – by the main entrance on Albert Road. See us as early as possible to secure a pair.
