What is Boro Culture?

Boro Culture is the name we’ve chosen to reflect the character of the town – bolt, proud, creative, and unapologetically authentic.

It’s a campaign to show Middlesbrough to the world and encompassing some of the incredible things we’ve got coming up, including:

We’re not pretending to be somewhere else

The Boro Culture campaign draws inspiration from:

  • local dialect, personality and humour
  • grassroots creativity
  • our industrial heritage
  • music, football, and youth culture
  • community pride
  • the energy of local people
