Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art – MIMA – is an international art gallery and museum based in Centre Square in Middlesbrough.

It connects art, people, and ideas, and makes creative, civic spaces.

A cultural and community hub, it’s powered by a vision to positively contribute to society, and works closely with local and global partners to put art into action.

Part of Teesside University, it builds public participation, and is driven by the ethics of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Facilities

Its café, MIMA Kitchen, serves thoughtful, wholesome food and drinks for breakfast and lunch. It offers a range of salads, quiches, frittatas, jacket potatoes, paninis, and sandwiches, along with homemade cakes and scones.
